White Lion launched the new Native Eyewear site in mid-August and we are mighty proud of that work. Our team was fortunate to work alongside the very talented crew at Motive who created the vision and design for the new site while our team built the custom ecommerce and web application.
The results are amazing! The brand that quickly carved out a reputation for high performance eyewear now has a new high performing ecommerce site to match.
The Native Brand
For those who might be new to the brand, Native makes polarized sunglasses for adventurers of all types. They feature interchangeable polarized lenses, exceptional grip & comfort and ultra-light frame technology. Native Eyewear also backs their sunglasses with a lifetime warranty. So, whether you ran over them with your bike or your dog ate them – they’ve got you covered.
A Responsive Strategy is Cost Effective
From the earliest stages of the project, we (Native Eyewear, Motive and White Lion) took a mobile first strategy. The site needed to perform seamlessly and bug free across all devices. Responsive design allows for this and with only one code base, updating and maintenance of the site is cost effective and quick.
- One-Page Checkout
- Out-of-Stock Notification
- One-Click Built-In Admin Tools
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Integration
- Real-Time Shipping Rates
For fans and customers, the new site features a custom ecommerce system with a one-page checkout cart to maximize conversions, and a custom web application to process repairs and warranty issues. We’ve also added a ‘notify me’ feature that can automatically send the user an email once an out-of-stock item is back in stock.
For Native Eyewear staff and content managers, the site has built-in admin tools to make updating and editing content quick and painless. Because the site is rich with images and product photography, White Lion reinvented the way that imagery can be batch uploaded and associated to items with just one click – saving loads of time and headaches.
We’ve also integrated the new site with web-services to keep the products, customers, orders and stock levels in sync with Native’s ERP systems. Additionally, the site taps into shipping providers’ web-services to provide customers with real-time shipping rates during checkout.
The ecommerce portion of the site launched in mid-August and the warranty application launched this month, and so far all major site KPI’s look great! Site traffic is way up, load time is super-fast and Native is selling more glasses online. A lot more!!
